Our Exclusive Tour of John Lewis
Last week, a group of students from Northern Counties School, 91首发 School, and Hedleys College had the exciting opportunity to take an exclusive tour of John Lewis Newcastle.
The day began with a fascinating presentation from the John Lewis Eldon Square team as we learned that the organisation was founded all the way back in 1864. Smaller student teams then explored the different areas of the store to discover their range of products.
Andrew was especially intrigued by the washing machines, while Sophie was thrilled to explore the beauty department. Danny and Deacon even treated themselves to a spritz of their new favourite aftershave! From homeware to electronics, fashion, and even Lego, there was something for everyone.
The tour was finished with a special treat as the staff opened the doors to the rooftop, offering our students stunning views of St James鈥� Park, before we enjoyed some juice and biscuits.
Our students had prepared some questions for the John Lewis team, including 鈥淗ow many items do you sell?鈥� and 鈥淗ow long have you worked here?鈥�. They were shocked to find out some had been there for over 30 years!
The John Lewis team kindly gave each of our students a certificate and a goody bag, including vouchers to use in the caf茅 for the next time they come in.
It was an enriching experience that allowed our students to learn about the various employment roles within John Lewis and gain insight into the diverse range of products they offer.
